Welcome to Barrett Psychology and Consulting, PLLC.  Dr. Michelle Barrett is a top clinician in her field and is a leader in the mental health community in North Carolina. Dr. Barrett is a public speaker, consultant, and continues to accept clients in her private practice.

 

Dr Barrett's clinical specialty is with couples, families, children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing relationship issues, coping with severe psychological symptoms, or navigating distressing situations.

Dr. Barrett also provides consultation services for patents of young children who are concerned with their child's behavior or, more importantly, unclear what do when their child is struggling at home or in school. She also consults with parents concerned about early childhood behaviors. Consultation services are brief and help parents learn what tools they may use to help their child succeed. In addition, Dr. Barrett often consults with parents of children who may require IEPs or 504 accommodations, as these services may require an advocate to assist you in navigating the Title I and IDEA Act systems throughout their time at school.

Dr. Barrett often speaks publicly to both large and small groups about Relationship Issues, Family Dynamics, and Child Mental Health.
